THE MAGGIE FUND INITIATIVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH
The Maggie Fund is a Scholarship Fund to assist the HS children of low-income women of color within mental health facilities who may not have the resources to afford education expenses. The fund will be set up in selected facilities that house women of color on the road to recovery and re-entry into society.
Because Mary was diagnosed with chronic manic depression, through The MAGGIE Fund, TSF serves as advocates for women of color between the ages of 18 and 55 who reside in the New York Tri-State area. Our goal is to provide financial support and information to these women, their families, and the organizations that serve them by helping to de-stigmatize mental illness and assisting those in need of appropriate medication, counseling, and hospitalization.
